Las investigaciones han demostrado que la mayor\u00eda de las personas diagnosticadas con la enfermedad de Parkinson experimentar\u00e1n alg\u00fan grado de temblores. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.michaeljfox.org\/understanding-parkinsons\/living-with-pd\/topic.php?cognitive-impairment&amp;navid=cognitive-impairment\">deterioro cognitivo<\/a> y seguir\u00e1 disminuyendo con el tiempo. De hecho, aproximadamente la mitad de las personas con enfermedad de Parkinson padecen demencia. Como cuidador, es importante conocer los diferentes aspectos de la enfermedad y saber c\u00f3mo responder adecuadamente. Aqu\u00ed hay algunos pasos para ayudar con el cuidado de un ser querido con enfermedad de Parkinson.<\/p>\n<h2><strong><em>Inf\u00f3rmese sobre la enfermedad.<\/em><\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>El p\u00e1rkinson es un trastorno neurodegenerativo. La enfermedad afecta a las neuronas productoras de dopamina, responsables de indicar al cerebro que se mueva. Existen cinco etapas que van desde cero (sin s\u00edntomas) hasta la etapa 5, que corresponde a la EP avanzada. Si bien la enfermedad en s\u00ed no es mortal, las complicaciones pueden ser graves. Generalmente, los s\u00edntomas comunes tras su aparici\u00f3n pueden incluir:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><u>Temblor-<\/u><\/strong> Principalmente en reposo. Parece un movimiento similar al de &quot;rodar una pastilla&quot;. Esto imita el movimiento de sostener una pastilla entre el pulgar y el \u00edndice y girarla continuamente.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.parkinson.org\/Understanding-Parkinsons\/Symptoms\/Movement-Symptoms\/Bradykinesia-Slowness-of-Movement?gclid=CjwKCAjwvJvpBRAtEiwAjLuRPVJ6FhuYRtLcB1Pk3Fccti5l5AWeQxRIQmcK9beoNz-Dg6l04CBwsRoCdrYQAvD_BwE\"><strong>Bradicinesia<\/strong><\/a><strong><u>\u2013<\/u><\/strong> Lentitud de movimiento.<\/li>\n<li><strong><u>Rigidez de las extremidades<\/u><\/strong>Rigidez en brazos o piernas.<\/li>\n<li><strong><u>Problemas de marcha y equilibrio<\/u><\/strong>Dificultad para caminar o mantener el equilibrio.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><em>No olvides hacer preguntas<\/em><\/strong> en las citas con el m\u00e9dico y no tenga miedo de plantear cualquier inquietud que pueda tener.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Ayude a mantener activo a su ser querido<\/em><\/strong>Comenzar o continuar con un programa de ejercicio regular puede marcar una gran diferencia en cuanto a la movilidad.
